Rev. Amy Forsythe-Alexander has been on staff at AUMC since 2013, and specializes in ministry to young adults and families.
Amy was ordained as an Elder in Full Connection in the Central Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church in June of 2011.
Prior to coming to AUMC, she served as Associate Pastor of Discipleship at FUMC Georgetown, Associate Pastor at Grace UMC Copperas Cove, and as Youth and Children’s Pastor at Dido UMC of Fort Worth. She earned a Master of Divinity degree from Brite Divinity School in 2009, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism: News Writing from the University of North Texas in 2005.
Amy is married to Brad Alexander, who serves nearby as Director of Student Ministries at FUMC Cleburne. They live in Granbury, and are always up for catching the latest movie in theaters or making pocket prayer beads! An avid reader and writer, Amy has a heart for ministry to the underdog and a special interest in spiritual formation and Taize worship.
